Pot Pan Pepper Eggs
Went back to my previous learn to draw book. I guess I wanted to get back to some "serious" drawing. Here is a bit of a still life. What facinated me about the original drawing by Chardin was the use of contrasts. Normally I use a 6H pencil to do the rough outlines and an HB pencil to do the lines and shadows. This picture called for a much darker and softer pencil. I used a 5B. I rather like the effect.
My rendition of an image taken from the book, "the Complete Book of Drawing" by "Barrington Barber."
